Glossary term
USB Audio Class Support
USB Audio Class identifies the USB audio device specification supported by an audio interface, such as UAC1 or UAC2.
It describes how the audio device communicates with a host. It is separate from the USB bus version, connector shape, asynchronous transfer mode and supported audio formats.
USB Audio Class Support — USB Reclocker
For a USB audio reclocker or interface, the class identifies the audio protocol of the specified connection. Some devices provide selectable Class 1 and Class 2 modes.
Check the named class together with the host’s support and the device’s actual format limits. A USB 2.0 label or driverless claim alone does not establish UAC2, and class support does not imply every possible sample rate.
