User-Replaceable Stylus

User-replaceable stylus tells you whether you can change the stylus assembly yourself while keeping the cartridge body.

That assembly includes the needle tip and cantilever, the small arm carrying it. It is not a diamond-only repair.

User-Replaceable Stylus — Cartridge

A “Yes” can let you renew a worn or damaged stylus without replacing the cartridge body or sending it away for factory service. A “No” means there is no user-swappable assembly: check the manufacturer’s service or exchange options, or replace the cartridge.

Before buying, match the replacement part number to the exact cartridge model using the manufacturer’s compatibility list. Similar appearance is not enough.

Follow that model’s fitting instructions. Avoid touching the tip or cantilever, and do not force the assembly. Before playing, check the recommended tracking force—the downward force on the stylus.
