Multi-Wave / Sine Shaping

Waveform shaping lets a power regenerator alter the shape of its generated AC output.

A shaped mode can change the portion of each cycle available for charging a connected supply’s reservoir capacitors. This is different from simply changing the RMS output voltage.

Multi-Wave / Sine Shaping — Power Regenerator

For a regenerator, the feature identifies an available output-waveform mode beyond ordinary sine-wave operation. Its purpose is to change how a compatible connected supply draws charging current.

Compare the actual mode and supported load conditions. The effect depends on the connected power supply; a shaped waveform is not inherently the lowest-distortion waveform, and the feature alone does not establish an audible improvement.
