AirPlay / Chromecast
Wireless casting lets compatible software direct audio to a receiving device through a supported casting system.
AirPlay and Google Cast are examples of distinct systems. Support for one does not establish support for another, and the network and source requirements depend on the implementation.
AirPlay / Chromecast — Tuner
On a tuner, casting can provide another way to play audio from compatible applications or devices through the connected audio system. It is separate from receiving the tuner’s radio broadcasts.
Compare the exact casting system and any stated generation or feature requirements with the source device. Do not infer compatibility from Wi-Fi alone. Audio-format limits, multiroom operation and the source device’s continuing role depend on the supported system, so a generic casting label should not be treated as a promise of every feature.
