Supported Word-Clock Rates
Word-clock rate options list the timing frequencies a device can generate at its word-clock outputs.
The list may name frequencies directly or give multiplier and divider settings relative to a stated base rate. It describes generated clock signals rather than every audio format the device can play.
Supported Word-Clock Rates — Upscaler
On a digital upscaler, these options identify the word-clock rates available to synchronise compatible downstream equipment. The selected clock rate must suit the receiver and the intended audio operating mode.
Compare the base frequency and any multiplier or divider together. A setting such as ×2 is incomplete without knowing the base rate. Keep word-clock outputs separate from MHz reference-clock outputs, and do not copy the upscaler’s maximum audio sample rate into this field unless that clock rate is explicitly generated.
