Word Clock Connector

Word-clock input/output counts the dedicated BNC connections used to receive or send an external word-clock timing signal.

An input receives timing from another device; an output supplies timing to a compatible receiver. The combined socket count does not state how many connections serve each direction.

Compare the input/output breakdown with the intended clocking arrangement, then check supported rates, electrical levels and termination separately. A BNC socket carrying digital audio is not a word-clock connection. A connector specified only for a 10 MHz reference should also remain distinct from word clock. Connector count alone does not establish that the devices accept the same timing signal or that connecting an external clock improves the system.
